hiatal hernia connection

by richard
(south carolina)

Hello,
You have a great web site.I beleive the hiatal hernia is another possible reason for bad breath. The hiatal hernia is above the sphinchter valve which closes off the stomach after eating or drinking. The hiatal hernia therefore would always be open to the esophogus since theres no sphinchter valve to close it off.I know hiatal hernia are a cause of reflux etc.Can you take a pole and see how many people that follow this site have a hiatal hernia. The first reason is tonsil stones as you say however I think the hiatal hernia may be on the list.
Thanks
