GETTING RID OF BAD BREATH FOR GOOD
Get your life back!
Everything you’ve read this far is about getting rid of bad breath ONCE AND FOR ALL and achieving real results!
By following the morning cleaning technique and the night time pre-emptive strike methodically, you will have achieve total control over chronic halitosis and cease to be plagued by it.
Getting rid of bad breath implies alternating treatments on a monthly basis
You’ve also learned two radically different approaches to killing anaerobic bacteria and keeping volatile sulfur compound release well below detectable levels by the human nose.
The whole purpose here is to alternate the bad breath treatments to prevent oral bacteria to adapt. The resistant strains that would otherwise survive would eventually be destroyed by the next treatment.
Of course, the key here is not to alternate too frequently. By doing so, you create resistant strains of bacteria that will adapt to both approaches.
I find that switching from one treatment to the next on a monthly basis is more than sufficient and gives great results.
Disinfect toothbrush and tongue scraper once a week
As a general rule of thumb, you should rinse your toothbrush and tongue scraper with hot water after use. It’s also important to disinfect them at least once a week.
There are some 400 different types of bacteria in your mouth. Most are useful and necessary, but some are opportunistic.
Among the latter are bacteria responsible for gum disease and they tend to accumulate on your cleaning tools. Some of these bacteria have shown the ability to survive several days on a toothbrush.
Disinfecting your cleaning tools prevents you from putting them right back where you found them. Simply put toothbrush and tongue scraper in a small glass and add undiluted 3% hydrogen peroxide for the night. Do this once a week.
Getting rid of bad breath after lunch
I know it can be difficult and inconvenient to clean your mouth after lunch, but I strongly advise you to do what you can in that respect.
If you simply don’t have the time to go through the cleaning process outside your home, you should at least scrape your tongue and mouthwash with grape seed extract.
Grape seed extract is available in small bottles and is a great way to maintain fresh breath all day. Because it can be used up to 3 times a day, it's perfect for a mid-morning and mid-afternoon mouthwash.
Also try to keep a pack of xylitol chewing gum in your pocket. Xylitol is a natural product and a good anti-bacterial agent. When chewing, you stimulate you salivary glands and increase saliva flow in your mouth. After lunch, this could be particularly helpful to dissolve acidity levels and wash away food debris.
Take care of irrigators
Your sinus and oral irrigators are great tools and very important to relieve the symptoms of chronic bad breath. Because they take such great care of you, you need to take proper care of them. Always try to use warm filtered water when going through the cleaning process.
After cleaning, allow it to run for an additional 20 seconds with warm filtered water to rinse away any residual product you’ve been using with your irrigators. These residues tend to accumulate and eat away at different parts and rubber joints inside the device.
Baking soda mouthwash
In the cleaning methods, we mouthwash before brushing teeth. Although the products used and the cleaning method gives great result for getting rid of bad breath, you can add an additional mouthwash after brushing teeth if you have time to do so.
Adding a baking soda mouthwash is unnecessary but can be a great supplement because it is a great product for oral care. Bacteria responsible for chronic halitosis love acidic environments to reproduce. Because baking soda dissolves acidity levels in the mouth almost instantly, it is a great way to control the population of anaerobic bacteria.
After cleaning and significantly reducing their numbers in your mouth, a baking soda based mouthwash will prevent the few surviving resistant strains of bacteria to reproduce by creating an alkaline environment in your mouth.
Simply pour one tea spoon of baking soda in as much water as needed for one mouthwash application. After mixing with spoon, rinse and gargle for 60 seconds.
Conclusion
The whole purpose here is to over deliver a way of getting rid of bad breath that will work on the long term. By adopting these cleaning methods and techniques, you will free yourself from a condition that has plagued the lives of so many of us. They are easy to learn and implement and more importantly, they will give you real results to your breath problem.
Unfortunately, science hasn’t given us the answers as to what caused the bacterial imbalance in the first place. They haven’t provided us yet with a way to permanently reverse this condition either. In the meantime, because there is no way to completely eradicate the bacteria responsible for chronic bad breath, we need to maintain their population reduced so that the volatile sulfur compound they release remains below detectable levels by the human nose.
