Yes, you read that right, many oral hygiene products contain ingredients that are dangerous for your health and can have devastating long term effects on your body. Toothpaste is the number 1 item on anyone’s list when shopping for oral hygiene products. If you look at the tube or its box, you’ll read a warning label that is imposed on the manufacturing companies by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration).

It should say something like this or similar: “keep out of reach of children, if swallowed seek professional help, if irritation occurs discontinue use”. This warning is mainly due to the fluoride content of the toothpaste. So the question now is why would the FDA do this?

You should know that the FDA has NEVER approved fluoride! And the EPA lists it as a ‘contaminant’ because it considered it a toxic waste product of the fertilizer industry!! That should raise another question: Why the heck would they put it in my toothpaste?

Fluoride toothpaste is mainly used in the treatment of tooth decay because it supposedly hardens the enamel of the teeth. The problem is the harmful side effects of fluoride through long term use. They include oral cancer, disorders of the digestive tract, kidney damage, Alzheimer disease, and bone decay. So you’ve got to wonder, isn’t there any other way to protect the teeth and maintain good oral hygiene without fluoride toothpaste?

You would be surprised at how little you need and how easy it is to make your own toothpaste and mouthwash with basic household ingredients! I won’t lie to you, the result won’t be as pleasant tasting as over the counter products, these companies do invest $10’s of Millions to make their products agreeable and maintain the illusion of efficiency.

Make your own toothpaste that's safe and more effective

I know I may be going out on a limb here and you may have difficulty accepting this, but you really don’t need to buy any over the counter oral hygiene products. I can show you how to make an excellent toothpaste that is completely safe, dirt cheap, and a bacteria’s worst nightmare! It'll help you maintain great oral hygiene. Here’s what you need and how to prepare it:

- Salt

- Baking Soda

- 3% Hydrogen Peroxide

Simply mix 1 tea spoon of salt with 3 tea spoons of baking soda. Add 3% hydrogen peroxide to the mix until it turns to paste. When you start off, you may want to dilute the hydrogen peroxide with water (50-50mix).

That’s it! This toothpaste will whiten your teeth, reduce acidity levels, and more importantly kill bacteria responsible for chronic bad breath. Once you get used to using this toothpaste, you’ll forget all the others!
