CURES FOR HALITOSIS
Cures for halitosis, the basics.
There are certain habits all chronic bad breath victims should implement immediately. And I do mean ALL! These are the fundamentals to achieve any decent result:
1/ QUIT SMOKING. You already know it’s bad for you, but I can also assure you that there are no possible cures for halitosis if you smoke!
2/ KEEP HYDRATED. Most people are in a constant state of mild dehydration without knowing it. It affects certain body functions among which
xerostomia or dry mouth.
Dry mouth will cause bad breath because the flow of oxygen rich saliva is interrupted. Always keep a small bottle of water nearby. Also keep a pack of
Xylitol gum
to stimulate your salivary glands.
3/ BRUSH TEETH TWICE DAILY. You must absolutely brush your teeth at least twice a day. Take a little more time with your oral hygiene at night because when sleeping, saliva flow is at its lowest while bacterial reproduction is at its highest.
4/ Check for
Tonsil Stones.
A 2007 scientific study showed that 75% of people suffering from chronic bad breath had tonsil problems. Check them yourself or with your ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist.
5/ VISIT YOUR DENTIST. Last but not least, don’t be a kid and visit your dentist at least twice a year for cleaning and check up.
KILL BAD BREATH!
Now, let’s talk about what you need to do and with which tools to begin an efficient elimination process of anaerobic bacteria AND their bases of operation:
- FLOSS
For those who don’t floss, this is a TRIPLE source of stench. The amount of food residue in between your teeth, if left uncleaned, will:
a) Rot where it stands releasing putrefied odors
b) Provide a food source for the anaerobic bacteria allowing them to release volatile sulfur compound ( gaseous wastes)
c) Allow bacteria to reproduce at an astonishing rate and attack your teeth and gums provoking tooth caries and gum bleeding.
When blood is ingested by anaerobic bacteria the VSC gases they release smells of feces. That’s the smell you leave behind after going to the bathroom. So…yeah, you really should floss! Preferably with
the right product.
- TONGUE SCRAPER
And I don’t mean brushing your tongue with a manual toothbrush or scraping with an inverted spoon. Not if you have chronic bad breath!! It’s important to get
the right tongue scraper;
they’re cheap and useful to scrap off food residue from your tongue after a meal. No food residue, no food source for the bacteria. And bacteria that doesn’t feed, doesn’t reproduce and release gaseous wastes (VSC).
- BRUSH WITH THE RIGHT TOOTHPASTE A good anti-bacterial toothpaste will make a world of difference. Stay clear of commercial toothpastes. Learn how to make the most efficient toothpaste with house hold ingredients.
This homemade toothpastes
will beat any other commercial toothpaste when fighting chronic bad breath!
- MAKE YOUR OWN MOUTHWASH
Over the counter mouthwashes are alcohol based and will dry out your mouth making your chronic halitosis condition even worst. They're basically designed to be cosmetic products not cures for halitosis (although that's what they advertise).
I can show you how to make a
home made mouthwash
that will exterminate anaerobic bacteria with a basic ingredient that is dirt cheap and available anywhere in the world!
- GET THE RIGHT TOOTHBRUSH To achieve the best possible result, and only if you can afford it, my advice would be to use a sonic toothbrush. With its fluid dynamic technology,
the sonic toothbrush
is the Gatling gun of oral hygiene.
Knowing these simple cures for halitosis steps is one thing, implementing the cleaning process that will enable you to convert your mouth into a MINE FIELD for anaerobic bacteria is another. Achieving maximum efficiency implies a great deal of technique,
