Xerostomia?
by: Webmaster

Hi,

Do you suffer from dry mouth? The most common type of bad breath caused by a stressful environment is xerostomia. Gastric issues have also been known to trigger bad breath in stressful situations. Which of these do you suffer from?

Me too
by: Anonymous

I also suffer from chronic bad breath but only when confronted with people that make me feel uncomfortable. I am an abuse survivor and I think this has triggered since I was very young this way of "protecting" myself from people that make me uncomfortable. Unfortunately, in my career, I am in a crowded room everyday with many people. Needless to say, I pop alot of sugarless candy.
It's very difficult. Especially when I hear people comments - people who are so insensitive to others. Even from people who themselves have bad breath have commented on my situation!

My family thinks I'm halucinating - but I don't have that visceral reaction with them because I am comfortable with my husband and children.

I wish there was a miracle solution. I have tried EVERYTHING without success. Thank you for letting me share.

depressed.
by: Anonymous

I absolutly have no idea where my bad breath is coming from anymore. I have suffered with chronic halitosis for about 4 years now and it has ruined my life, i am often afriad i will have to live with this problem forever and wont live a normal happy life. I tried gurgling with salt water, eating healthy, brushing flossing and using mouthwash daily, gurgling with baking soda and salt, using a saline spray, eating yogurt ive tried so many things i have lost count. My friends and family say that they do not detect any odor but i have constant bad taste. I also have slightly inflammed gums which bleed only when flossing and its only in a few places, also i have gastrointestinal inflammtion, i dont know if this is all in my head but it has really put a hold on my life. Any advice would be really appreciated, im only 16 and i'm always depressed because of this problem i just want to be normal.

Looking for cures
by: Webmaster

Hi everyone,

Chronic bad breath really is a terrible affliction with consequences that is quit simply ignored by the scientific community today.

I agree completely that people should accept you as you are, but please keep in mind that unless you suffer from TMAU (Trimethylaminuria), the cure is out there.

Even for TMAU sufferers (extremely rare genetic disorder), there is a treatment available that will greatly reduce if not eliminate breath and body odors. The treatment is tough, but not impossible.

For the rest of us halitosis sufferers, the search for the underlying source of bad breath is on ongoing process.

Unfortunately, most doctors and dentists will not help much. They simply don`t understand what it is like to live with constant foul breath and will not accept that chronic halitosis is in fact a disease that can have dire physical and psychological consequences.

If your doctor/dentist will not help you, don`t forget that you`re not alone in this. The tools are there for you to assist you in your search.

Identify the underlying source of your problem through an elimination process, and identify the category (TYPE) of bad breath you fall under.

Remember, always be constant and organized throughout your search and elimination process. That`s the best way to track down that cure.

Good hunting!

Not alone
by: Anonymous

Hello Anonymous,

Your story is just as bad as mine only with me I think I know what might solve the problem but because am not a dentist and have no qualifications in dentistry at all, no dentist will listen to my suggestions.

Am ready to have another tooth or two taken out coz am tired of living alone, not being able to socialise, losing boyfriend after boyfriend, etc.

All in all, you are not alone with this embarassing and depressing condition.

Hope we can get out of it some day, that someone reads our story and they are able to help.

God bless

There is still hope!
by: Anonymous

hello im 18 and I have had this badly for around 2 years now. I worry for my futre that I will still have it when i'm middle aged.
I research bad breath all the time, and have too tried many things.

I thought it was intestinal parasites. Because there are so many symptoms that anyone could think they have it.

But I really do believe at least 80% of all bad breath cases come from post nasal drip / tonsil stones. They come hand in hand. If you have post nasal drip, you may be in luck. I'm saving up for it at the moment.

But I read a blog, if you buy the sinupulse nasal irrigation system and use the saline wash as well as putting a few drops of grapefruit seed extract inside. They temporarily relieve post nasal drip AND flush out the stones.

So if you did this once or twice a day, your problem should be solved. Many people commented on it saying they had been cured from their many years of bad breath suffering. One man said it worked for two weeks and then it didn't work any longer.

I don't know about you, but I've said to myself the day I get rid of this horrible problem I am going to go absolutley mental and make the most of my life. (make up for the two years of crap)
So even if it only works for two weeks, perhaps we could have the best two weeks of are life.

And many people said it cured them fullstop. I do think of the sinupulse elite as a last resort , but If you do try it , please let me know how it goes. best of luck xx

Don't give up!!
by: Webmaster

First and foremost, you are not alone in your fight and your behavior is perfectly normal and understandable, but you should never let it get to you.

Now, according to the symptoms you describe, you sound like a person with type 3 halitosis. If eating healthy foods worsens your breath, you may have a digestive tract condition or disease.
Some of the most common disease of the digestive tract are:

- Chronic Acid Reflux
- Hiatal Hernia
- Stomach and/or Duodenal Ulcers
- Chronic Gastritis
- Colon Diseases
- Candida

All of these are very common and will cause a severe state of constant bad breath. The good news is that they are easily treatable with specific anti-biotics and other medications. I strongly suggest you see a doctor ASAP!

Whatever you do, never give up hope of finding a cure, you are one of countless MILLIONS all over the world who suffer from various degrees of chonic bad breath. Please keep in touch and let me know how things have developed.
